FAQs
(Frequently Asked Questions about Brow Lift Treatment)

Q.     What are the side effects of the brow lift using the hibernation treatment?

A.     These can best be divided into general and specific.

General side effects are uncommon but include redness & bruising at the site of injection, rarely nausea, fatigue, headaches and skin rashes.

Specific effects are attributed directly to the undesirable action of hibernation treatment on adjacent muscles on the rare occasions it migrates to those muscles e.g. drooping of eyelid. Rarely a temporary asymmetry of facial expression can occur.

Q.     Can I become resistant to hibernation treatment?

A.     It is possible to develop a resistance to hibernation treatment especially if treatment is too frequent. It is advisable to have a top up treatment when the appropriate muscles just start to recover.

Q.     Will I still be able to move my forehead?

A.    You will be able to move your forehead upwards but because the depressor muscles have been inactivated, downward movement will be very restricted.
