Dermal & Facial Fillers - Fat Transfer
After The Fat Transfer Treatment
Post-Treatment Management
You will be discharged home shortly after a fat transfer (lipotransfer) procedure and be issued with a telephone number to ring in the event of a problem or query.
Antibiotics are prescribed to reduce the chances of infection in the recipient site.
Bruising and swelling can occur and a course of ARNICA tablets is recommended to speed up the healing process.
You must attend a follow up appointment a week after your surgery for review.
Recovery & Results Following Fat Transfer Treatment
If small quantities of fat have been transferred (e.g. nose to mouth lines, upper lip), most people will be able to go about their normal activities within 24 hours. Larger quantities of fat transfer e.g. to fill out post liposuction defects, can take a little longer for recovery to occur.
It can take several days to attain the final result and the effect usually lasts for several months but can last for several years
