Treatment for Lines & Wrinkles
FAQs
(Frequently Asked Questions about Treatment for Lines & Wrinkles)
Q. What are the side effects of hibernation treatment for lines & wrinkles?
A. These can best be divided into general and specific.
General side effects are uncommon but include redness & bruising at the site of injection, rarely nausea, fatigue, headaches and skin rashes.
Specific effects are attributed directly to the undesirable action of anti wrinkle treatment on adjacent muscles on the rare occasions it migrates to those muscles e.g. drooping of eyelid. Rarely a temporary asymmetry of facial expression can occur.
Q. Can I become resistant to anti wrinkle treatment?
A. It is possible to develop a resistance to hibernation treatment especially if treatment is too frequent. It is advisable to have a top up treatment when the appropriate muscles just start to recover.
